Arthur Conant was born in 1889 and died in 1966.  He worked at Rookwood Pottery* between 1915 and 1939.  He is known especially for his colorful decorated porcelain scenic vases with plants, flowers and animals. 

Conant’s use of color and composition is unlike most other Rookwood decorators and is not what most would consider typical Rookwood.
